This is the National Radio Company HRO 5T Receiver circa 1938. These sets
were used extensively during WW2 as part of Station X at the radio
monitoring centre at Bletchley Park in England. I obtained my licence in 1977.
But the receiver shown was my first real communications set. I saved my
pocket money for months and bought it in 1966 for £17.00 I still have it.
